Halloween is my favorite holiday, second only to Christmas! I have a black Halloween tree that is “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie-themed. Every year I put my Halloween tree up in September after Labor Day, and keep it up until Thanksgiving, when I swap it out for the Christmas tree.
Do you still dress in costume for Halloween? I still do! I have dressed in costume every single Halloween since I was a child. Even as an adult, I dress in costume to hand out candy to the kids in my neighborhood. My husband even humors me and will dress up in a coordinating costume.

| Our most popular costume combos were when he was Peter Griffin and I was the Chicken (from Family Guy). We have also gone
as Jack Skellington and Sally Stitches! If you dress in costume, don’t forget your pets! Include them in the fun and dress them in adorable pet costumes and show them off to visitors or take them with you when you go trick-or-treating around town!

I love to play pranks on my family, especially at Halloween time. I have a “Doll in the Hall” that I hide around the house to creep everyone out! Speaking of pranks, The Office is one of my favorite tv shows. I can relate to Jim so well because I love the pranks he plays on Dwight. The jello stapler prank is hilarious!
If you work with a team or staff, I double dare you to try some of these funny office pranks! I think my favorite one is the caramel onions! Imagine bringing a plate of these gooey caramel “apples” to the office as a treat, only to bite into an onion underneath the caramel! Or cover someone’s cubicle in sticky
notes. The more colorful, the better! Happy Halloween!

The Benefits of Office Yoga
Sitting at a desk for eight hours or more every day is uncomfortable and can cause neck and back pain. Yoga is a phenomenal way to stretch and experience relief from those aches and pains. Both you and your team can greatly benefit from taking regular yoga breaks. If you own a company, consider adding a yoga class as part of your employee wellness program.
If you are a solopreneur working from your home office, it’s even easier for you to incorporate a yoga break daily as part of your routine. You don’t need to have a lot of space to do yoga. Many of the yoga techniques are easy enough that you can do them at your desk.
There are many benefits of yoga for overall health and stress management. For office workers, in particular, some of those amazing benefits are:
- Increased energy
- Stress reduction
- Increased focus and productivity
- Improved mood
- Better immunity and fewer sick days
- Improved posture, which helps decrease neck and back pain
- Improved physical and mental health
Do you do yoga in your workplace? How has yoga been a benefit to you?
